मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-69, verse-19

मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
ततो नृपस्य वचनमविचार्यमवेक्ष्य सः ।
द्वाःस्थस्तत्याज तां सुभ्रूमारोप्य स्यन्दने वने ॥१९॥
19. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
tato nṛpasya vacanamavicāryamavekṣya saḥ .
dvāḥsthastatyāja tāṃ subhrūmāropya syandane vane.
19. Mārkaṇḍeyaḥ uvāca tataḥ nṛpasya vacanam avicāryam avekṣya
saḥ dvāḥsthaḥ tatyāja tām subhrūm āropya syandane vane
19. Mārkaṇḍeya said: Then, perceiving that the king's command was not to be questioned, the doorkeeper placed that beautiful-browed woman on a chariot and abandoned her in the forest.
