महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-2, verse-6

अनुकम्पां हि भक्तेषु दैवतान्यपि कुर्वते ।
विशेषतो ब्राह्मणेषु सदाचारावलम्बिषु ॥६॥
6. anukampāṁ hi bhakteṣu daivatānyapi kurvate ,
viśeṣato brāhmaṇeṣu sadācārāvalambiṣu.
