महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-12, verse-5

तद्वनं तापसा नित्यं शेषाश्च वनचारिणः ।
दूरात्परिहरन्ति स्म पुरुषादभयात्किल ॥५॥
5. tadvanaṁ tāpasā nityaṁ śeṣāśca vanacāriṇaḥ ,
dūrātpariharanti sma puruṣādabhayātkila.
5. tat vanam tāpasāḥ nityam śeṣāḥ ca vanacāriṇaḥ
dūrāt pariharanti sma puruṣāt abhayāt kila
5. Ascetics and other forest dwellers always avoided that forest from a distance, truly, out of fear of a certain man.
