महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-53, verse-17

रसालापूपकांश्चित्रान्मोदकानथ षाडवान् ।
रसान्नानाप्रकारांश्च वन्यं च मुनिभोजनम् ॥१७॥
17. rasālāpūpakāṁścitrānmodakānatha ṣāḍavān ,
rasānnānāprakārāṁśca vanyaṁ ca munibhojanam.

rasān nānā-prakārān ca vanyam ca muni-bhojanam
17. [They also brought] diverse *rasālā* (sweet dishes with curds), cakes, elaborate *modaka* (sweet dumplings), and *ṣāḍava* (sweet and sour condiments). Additionally, there were various kinds of flavorful dishes and forest produce suitable for the sage (muni).
