सख्यं चैवातुलं कृत्वा रुद्रेण सहितावृषी ।
तपस्तेपतुरव्यग्रौ विसृज्य त्रिदिवौकसः ॥६६॥

Thus, having established a mutual mark and then formed an incomparable friendship, the two sages, accompanied by Rudra, performed severe austerities (tapas) undisturbedly, after dismissing the celestial beings.
