महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-330, verse-45

ततः स्वतेजसाविष्टाः केशा नारायणस्य ह ।
बभूवुर्मुञ्जवर्णास्तु ततोऽहं मुञ्जकेशवान् ॥४५॥
45. tataḥ svatejasāviṣṭāḥ keśā nārāyaṇasya ha ,
babhūvurmuñjavarṇāstu tato'haṁ muñjakeśavān.

babhūvuḥ muñjavarṇāḥ tu tataḥ aham muñjakeśavān
45. tataḥ nārāyaṇasya keśāḥ svatejasā āviṣṭāḥ ha
muñjavarṇāḥ babhūvuḥ tu tataḥ aham muñjakeśavān
45. Then, the hairs of (Viṣṇu) Nārāyaṇa, imbued with his own splendor, indeed became the color of muñja grass. Therefore, I (refer to this form as) Muñjakeśavān.
