महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-330, verse-5

नष्टां च धरणीं पूर्वमविन्दं वै गुहागताम् ।
गोविन्द इति मां देवा वाग्भिः समभितुष्टुवुः ॥५॥
5. naṣṭāṁ ca dharaṇīṁ pūrvamavindaṁ vai guhāgatām ,
govinda iti māṁ devā vāgbhiḥ samabhituṣṭuvuḥ.

govindah iti mām devāḥ vāgbhiḥ samabhituṣṭuvuḥ

5. Because I formerly found the lost earth, which had entered a cave, the gods highly praised me with words, calling me 'Govinda'.
