योगवासिष्ठः yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-94, verse-40

देवयोनिर्हि सा तेन केचिद्देवोपमादयः ।
केचिन्नरसमश्रीकाः केचिन्नागसमन्वयाः ॥ ४० ॥

kecinnarasamaśrīkāḥ kecinnāgasamanvayāḥ 40

40. sā hi devayoniḥ tena kecit deva-upamā-ādayaḥ
kecit nara-sama-śrīkāḥ kecit nāga-samanvayāḥ

kecit narasamaśrīkāḥ kecit nāgasamanvayāḥ

40. Indeed, that is a divine origin (devayoni) from which some beings are like gods, others possess human-like splendor, and still others are connected with serpents (nāgas).

40. הם שייכים לגזע ישויות שמימיות, ולכן חלקם דומים לאלים, חלקם בעלי הדר כשל בני אדם, וחלקם קשורים לישויות הנחש השמימיות נָאגָה.
