सौहार्दादेव सिद्धस्य तस्येदमहमुक्तवान् ॥ १ ॥

Śrī Vasiṣṭha said: Then, on that great earth, which was expansive like a golden sky, I spoke this (message) to that accomplished one simply out of friendship.
