क्षुदन्तर्महतीयं मे बाले वृद्धिमुपेयुषी ।
 कृष्णसर्पा प्रसूतेव कोटरस्था जरद्रुमे ॥ ४३ ॥

43. O child, this immense hunger within me has grown, like a black serpent giving birth while residing in the hollow of an old tree.
