मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-96, verse-32

वितन्वते नरा यज्ञांस्त्वत्सृष्टास्वोषधीषु च ।
यज्ञैर्देवास्तथा दैत्यास्तद्वद्रक्षांसि पावक ॥३२॥
32. vitanvate narā yajñāṃstvatsṛṣṭāsvoṣadhīṣu ca .
yajñairdevāstathā daityāstadvadrakṣāṃsi pāvaka.
32. vitanvate narāḥ yajñān tvat-sṛṣṭāsu oṣadhīṣu ca
yajñaiḥ devāḥ tathā daityāḥ tadvat rakṣāṃsi pāvaka
32. And humans perform sacred rituals (yajñas) with the herbs created by you. Through these rituals (yajñas), O Purifier (pāvaka), gods, as well as demons (daityāḥ), and similarly, Rākṣasas are nourished.
