मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-96, verse-6

ऊहुरापश्च छन्देन तस्याश्रमसमीपगाः ।
कमण्डलुगताश्चैव तस्य भीता महात्मनः ॥६॥
6. ūhurāpaśca chandena tasyāśramasamīpagāḥ .
kamaṇḍalugatāścaiva tasya bhītā mahātmanaḥ.
6. ūhuḥ āpaḥ ca chandena tasya āśramasāmīpagāḥ
kamaṇḍalugatāḥ ca eva tasya bhītāḥ mahātmanaḥ
6. The waters, both those flowing near his hermitage (āśrama) and those in his water-pot, moved away by their own will, out of fear of that great soul (mahātman).
