मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-96, verse-36

अपः सृजसि देवत्वं त्वमत्सि पुनरेव ताः ।
पच्यमानास्त्वया ताश्च प्राणिनां पुष्टिकारणम् ॥३६॥
36. apaḥ sṛjasi devatvaṃ tvamatsi punareva tāḥ .
pacyamānāstvayā tāśca prāṇināṃ puṣṭikāraṇam.
36. apaḥ sṛjasi devatvam tvam atsi punaḥ eva tāḥ
pacyamānāḥ tvayā tāḥ ca prāṇinām puṣṭikāraṇam
36. You create the waters and also divine nature (devatvam). You yourself consume those (waters) again. And these (waters), being digested by you, are the cause of nourishment for living beings.
