मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-96, verse-56

सुधूम्रवर्णा या जिह्वा प्राणिनां रोगदायिका ।
तया नः पाहि पापेभ्य ऐहिकाच्च महाभयात् ॥५६॥
56. sudhūmravarṇā yā jihvā prāṇināṃ rogadāyikā .
tayā naḥ pāhi pāpebhya aihikācca mahābhayāt.

tayā naḥ pāhi pāpebhyaḥ aihikāt ca mahābhayāt
56. By that tongue, which is of a beautiful smoky color and bestows diseases upon living beings, protect us from sins and from the great fear of this world.
