मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-96, verse-37

देवेषु तेजोरूपेण कान्त्या सिद्धेष्ववस्थितः ।
विषरूपेण नागेषु वायुरूपः पतत्त्रिषु ॥३७॥

37. He (Agni) is present among the gods as splendor (tejas). Among the Siddhas, he resides with radiance (kānti). Among the Nāgas, he exists in the form of poison, and among the birds, he is in the form of wind (vāyu).
