महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-56, verse-34

एवं तदभवद्युद्धं घोररूपमसंवृतम् ।
परिवृत्तेऽहनि क्रूरं वृत्रवासवयोरिव ॥३४॥
34. evaṁ tadabhavadyuddhaṁ ghorarūpamasaṁvṛtam ,
parivṛtte'hani krūraṁ vṛtravāsavayoriva.
34. evam tat abhavat yuddham ghorarūpam asaṃvṛtam
parivṛtte ahani krūram vṛtravāsavayoriva
34. evam tat ghorarūpam asaṃvṛtam krūram yuddham
parivṛtte ahani vṛtravāsavayoriva abhavat
34. Thus, that terrifying and unrestrained battle took place, fierce like the one between Vṛtra and Vāsava (Indra), as the day progressed.
