महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-29, verse-25

तेऽपि सर्वे महेष्वासा अयुद्धार्थिनि कौरवे ।
निर्बन्धं परमं चक्रुस्तदा वै युद्धकाङ्क्षिणः ॥२५॥
25. te'pi sarve maheṣvāsā ayuddhārthini kaurave ,
nirbandhaṁ paramaṁ cakrustadā vai yuddhakāṅkṣiṇaḥ.
25. te api sarve maheṣvāsāḥ ayuddhārthini kaurave
nirbandham paramam cakruḥ tadā vai yuddhakāṅkṣiṇaḥ
25. tadā vai ayuddhārthini kaurave te api sarve
maheṣvāsāḥ yuddhakāṅkṣiṇaḥ paramam nirbandham cakruḥ
25. Although the Kuru prince (Duryodhana) was unwilling to fight, all those great archers, who were themselves eager for battle, then indeed exerted extreme pressure on him.
