महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-29, verse-20

मा स्म यज्ञकृतां प्रीतिं प्राप्नुयां सज्जनोचिताम् ।
यदीमां रजनीं व्युष्टां न निहन्मि परान्रणे ॥२०॥
20. mā sma yajñakṛtāṁ prītiṁ prāpnuyāṁ sajjanocitām ,
yadīmāṁ rajanīṁ vyuṣṭāṁ na nihanmi parānraṇe.
20. mā sma yajñakṛtām prītim prāpnuyām sajjanocitām |
yadi imām rajanīm vyuṣṭām na nihantmi parān raṇe
20. yadi imām rajanīm vyuṣṭām (satyām) raṇe parān na nihantmi,

20. May I not attain the delight suitable for virtuous performers of Vedic rituals (yajñakṛt), if I do not slay my enemies in battle when this night dawns.
