महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-33, verse-15

ततः क्षुराभ्यां पाञ्चाल्यौ चक्ररक्षौ महात्मनः ।
जघान समरे शूरः शरैः संनतपर्वभिः ॥१५॥
15. tataḥ kṣurābhyāṁ pāñcālyau cakrarakṣau mahātmanaḥ ,
jaghāna samare śūraḥ śaraiḥ saṁnataparvabhiḥ.

15. Then, the heroic Karṇa killed the two Pāñcāla warriors, who were the wheel-guards of the great-souled Arjuna, in battle with two crescent-shaped arrows (kṣura) and other arrows having bent joints (saṃnataparva).
