महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-19, verse-7

ते वध्यमानाः समरे नाजहुः पाण्डवं तदा ।
दह्यमाना यथा राजञ्शलभा इव पावकम् ॥७॥
7. te vadhyamānāḥ samare nājahuḥ pāṇḍavaṁ tadā ,
dahyamānā yathā rājañśalabhā iva pāvakam.

7. O King, though they were being killed in battle, they did not abandon the son of Pāṇḍu then, just as moths, even as they are being consumed, do not abandon the fire.
