महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-19, verse-58

निगृह्य च गदाः केचित्पार्श्वस्थैर्भृशदारुणैः ।
रथाश्वसादिभिस्तत्र संभिन्ना न्यपतन्भुवि ॥५८॥
58. nigṛhya ca gadāḥ kecitpārśvasthairbhṛśadāruṇaiḥ ,
rathāśvasādibhistatra saṁbhinnā nyapatanbhuvi.

58. And some (warriors), having grasped their maces, were struck down there on the ground by the extremely fierce chariot-riders and horsemen standing by their sides.
