महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-19, verse-32

आ तुम्बादवसीदन्ति रथचक्राणि मारिष ।
रणे विचरतस्तस्य तस्मिँल्लोहितकर्दमे ॥३२॥
32. ā tumbādavasīdanti rathacakrāṇi māriṣa ,
raṇe vicaratastasya tasmiँllohitakardame.

32. O respected one (māriṣa), the chariot wheels of him (Pāṇḍava) who was moving about in that blood-mud (lohita-kardame) in battle sank up to their hubs (tumbāt).
