महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-15, verse-36

यस्मिन्द्वीपे समाश्रित्य युध्यन्ति कुरवः परैः ।
तं निमग्नं नरव्याघ्रं भीष्मं शंससि संजय ॥३६॥
36. yasmindvīpe samāśritya yudhyanti kuravaḥ paraiḥ ,
taṁ nimagnaṁ naravyāghraṁ bhīṣmaṁ śaṁsasi saṁjaya.

36. sañjaya,
yasmin dvīpe kuravaḥ paraiḥ samāśritya yudhyanti,

36. O Sañjaya, you praise Bhishma, that tiger among men, who has now fallen (nimagnam), he upon whom the Kurus relied as their island of strength (dvīpe) when they fought their enemies.
