रक्ष्यमाणः कथं वीरैर्गोप्यमानाश्च तेन ते ।
दुर्जयानामनीकानि नाजयंस्तरसा युधि ॥३४॥

34. rakṣyamāṇaḥ kathaṁ vīrairgopyamānāśca tena te ,
durjayānāmanīkāni nājayaṁstarasā yudhi.

34. O Sañjaya, how was it that despite a formidable warrior being protected by heroes, and those very heroes being guarded by him, the armies of those who should be invincible did not conquer forcefully in battle?
