महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-266, verse-54

सोऽस्मानुत्थापयामास वाक्येनानेन पक्षिराट् ।
रावणो विदितो मह्यं लङ्का चास्य महापुरी ॥५४॥
54. so'smānutthāpayāmāsa vākyenānena pakṣirāṭ ,
rāvaṇo vidito mahyaṁ laṅkā cāsya mahāpurī.
54. saḥ asmān utthāpayāmāsa vākyena anena pakṣirāṭ
rāvaṇaḥ viditaḥ mahyam laṅkā ca asya mahāpurī
54. That king of birds (Sampati) roused us with this statement: 'Ravana is known to me, and Lanka is his great city.'
