महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-13, verse-42

तथा तु डिभकं श्रुत्वा हंसः परपुरंजयः ।
प्रपेदे यमुनामेव सोऽपि तस्यां न्यमज्जत ॥४२॥
42. tathā tu ḍibhakaṁ śrutvā haṁsaḥ parapuraṁjayaḥ ,
prapede yamunāmeva so'pi tasyāṁ nyamajjata.

42. Indeed, having heard about Diṃbhaka, Haṃsa, the conqueror of enemy cities, himself went to the Yamunā, and he also drowned in it.
