महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-13, verse-34

भये तु समुपक्रान्ते जरासंधे समुद्यते ।
मन्त्रोऽयं मन्त्रितो राजन्कुलैरष्टादशावरैः ॥३४॥
34. bhaye tu samupakrānte jarāsaṁdhe samudyate ,
mantro'yaṁ mantrito rājankulairaṣṭādaśāvaraiḥ.
34. bhaye tu samupakrānte jarāsaṃdhe samudyate
mantraḥ ayam mantritaḥ rājan kulaiḥ aṣṭādaśāvaraiḥ
34. But when fear approached and Jarāsaṃdha rose in readiness for battle, O King, this counsel (mantra) was deliberated upon by the eighteen clans.
