महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-13, verse-51

स्त्रियोऽपि यस्यां युध्येयुः किं पुनर्वृष्णिपुंगवाः ।
तस्यां वयममित्रघ्न निवसामोऽकुतोभयाः ॥५१॥
51. striyo'pi yasyāṁ yudhyeyuḥ kiṁ punarvṛṣṇipuṁgavāḥ ,
tasyāṁ vayamamitraghna nivasāmo'kutobhayāḥ.
51. striyaḥ api yasyām yudhyeyuḥ kim punaḥ vṛṣṇipuṃgavāḥ
tasyām vayam amitr-aghna nivasāmaḥ akutobhayāḥ
51. In that city, even women would be capable of fighting, let alone the foremost warriors among the Vṛṣṇis! O slayer of enemies, we dwell there, fearless from all directions.
