महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-13, verse-55

अष्टादश सहस्राणि व्रातानां सन्ति नः कुले ।
आहुकस्य शतं पुत्रा एकैकस्त्रिशतावरः ॥५५॥
55. aṣṭādaśa sahasrāṇi vrātānāṁ santi naḥ kule ,
āhukasya śataṁ putrā ekaikastriśatāvaraḥ.
55. aṣṭādaśa sahasrāṇi vrātānām santi naḥ kule
āhukasya śatam putrāḥ ekaikaḥ triśatāvaraḥ
55. There are eighteen thousand troops in our clan. Āhuka has a hundred sons, each of whom commands no fewer than three hundred (warriors).
