महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-10, verse-20

अतिथीन्पूजयामास यथावत्समुपागतान् ।
एवं हि सुमहान्कालो व्यत्यक्रामत्स तस्य वै ॥२०॥
20. atithīnpūjayāmāsa yathāvatsamupāgatān ,
evaṁ hi sumahānkālo vyatyakrāmatsa tasya vai.
20. atithīn pūjayāmāsa yathāvat samupāgatān evam
hi sumahān kālaḥ vyatyakrāmat saḥ tasya vai
20. saḥ yathāvat samupāgatān atithīn pūjayāmāsa

20. He duly honored the guests who arrived. In this way, a very long time indeed elapsed for him.
