महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-10, verse-55

इतस्त्वमधमामन्यां मा योनिं प्राप्स्यसे द्विज ।
गृह्यतां द्रविणं विप्र पूतात्मा भव सत्तम ॥५५॥
55. itastvamadhamāmanyāṁ mā yoniṁ prāpsyase dvija ,
gṛhyatāṁ draviṇaṁ vipra pūtātmā bhava sattama.
55. itaḥ tvam adhamām anyām mā yonim prāpsyase dvija
gṛhyatām draviṇam vipra pūtātmā bhava sattama
55. From this (position), O twice-born, you shall not obtain another, inferior birth. Accept this wealth, O Brahmin; become pure-souled, having a pure self (ātman), O best one.
