महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-10, verse-66

धार्मिका गुणसंपन्नाः सत्यार्जवपरायणाः ।
दुरुक्तवाचाभिहताः प्राप्नुवन्तीह दुष्कृतम् ॥६६॥
66. dhārmikā guṇasaṁpannāḥ satyārjavaparāyaṇāḥ ,
duruktavācābhihatāḥ prāpnuvantīha duṣkṛtam.

duruktavācā abhihatāḥ prāpnuvanti iha duṣkṛtam
66. Even righteous individuals, who are endowed with virtues and devoted to truth and straightforwardness, when afflicted by harsh words, experience misfortune in this world.
