महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-1, verse-67

यथा मृत्पिण्डतः कर्ता कुरुते यद्यदिच्छति ।
एवमात्मकृतं कर्म मानवः प्रतिपद्यते ॥६७॥

evamātmakṛtaṁ karma mānavaḥ pratipadyate.

67. Just as a potter shapes whatever he desires from a lump of clay, so too does a human being experience the consequences of actions (karma) performed by himself.
