महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-1, verse-56

मृत्युस्त्वं चैव हेतुर्हि जन्तोरस्य विनाशने ।
उभयं कारणं मन्ये न कारणमकारणम् ॥५६॥

56. mṛtyustvaṁ caiva heturhi jantorasya vināśane ,
ubhayaṁ kāraṇaṁ manye na kāraṇamakāraṇam.

56. Death and you are indeed the cause of this creature's destruction. I consider both of you to be the cause, and not something without cause (akāraṇam).
