महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-1, verse-61

तस्मादुभौ कालवशावावां तद्दिष्टकारिणौ ।
नावां दोषेण गन्तव्यौ त्वया लुब्धक कर्हिचित् ॥६१॥
61. tasmādubhau kālavaśāvāvāṁ taddiṣṭakāriṇau ,
nāvāṁ doṣeṇa gantavyau tvayā lubdhaka karhicit.
61. tasmāt ubhau kālavaśau āvām tat diṣṭakāriṇau na
āvām doṣeṇa gantavyau tvayā lubdhaka karhicit
61. lubdhaka tvayā tasmāt āvām ubhau kālavaśau tat
diṣṭakāriṇau āvām doṣeṇa karhicit na gantavyau
61. Therefore, we two are both under the sway of time (kāla) and are merely executing its decrees. O hunter, you should never hold us culpable.
