महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-1, verse-31

मृत्पात्रस्य क्रियायां हि दण्डचक्रादयो यथा ।
कारणत्वे प्रकल्प्यन्ते तथा त्वमपि पन्नग ॥३१॥

31. mṛtpātrasya kriyāyāṁ hi daṇḍacakrādayo yathā ,
kāraṇatve prakalpyante tathā tvamapi pannaga.

31. O serpent, just as in the process of making an earthen pot, the stick, the wheel, and other such instruments are indeed considered to be causes, so too are you (in this matter).
