अवष्टब्धमनोनाभिमोहचक्रं न गच्छति ।
यथा रज्ज्वां निरुद्धायां कीलकं रज्जुवेष्टितम् ॥ ८ ॥

yathā rajjvāṃ niruddhāyāṃ kīlakaṃ rajjuveṣṭitam 8

8. The wheel of delusion (moha), whose mind-hub (manas) is restrained, does not revolve, just as a peg entwined by a rope remains motionless when that rope is held fast.

8. כאשר ציר החשיבה מוחזק היטב, גלגל האשליה אינו נע, בדיוק כמו יתד הכרוכה בחבל שאינה נעה כשהחבל מתוח ומאובטח.
