वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-5, chapter-35, verse-59

आरम्भस्तु मदर्थो ऽयं ततस्तव निरर्थकः ।
त्वया हि सह रामस्य महानागमने गुणः ॥५९॥
59. ārambhastu madartho'yaṃ tatastava nirarthakaḥ ,
tvayā hi saha rāmasya mahānāgamane guṇaḥ.
59. ārambhaḥ tu madarthaḥ ayam tataḥ tava nirarthakaḥ
tvayā hi saha rāmasya mahān āgamane guṇaḥ
59. tu ayam ārambhaḥ madarthaḥ [asti],
tataḥ tava nirarthakaḥ [syāt].

59. However, this undertaking is for my sake, and thus your solo effort would be pointless. Indeed, there is a great advantage in Rāma's coming (here) along with you.
