महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-50, verse-33

अद्य त्वामहमेष्यामि कर्णं हत्वा महीपते ।
सभाजयितुमाक्रन्दादिति सत्यं ब्रवीमि ते ॥३३॥
33. adya tvāmahameṣyāmi karṇaṁ hatvā mahīpate ,
sabhājayitumākrandāditi satyaṁ bravīmi te.
33. adya tvām aham eṣyāmi karṇam hatvā mahīpate
sabhājayitum ākrandāt iti satyam bravīmi te
33. mahīpate aham adya karṇam hatvā tvām ākrandāt
sabhājayitum eṣyāmi iti satyam te bravīmi
33. O king, today, having killed Karna, I will come to you to honor you, freeing you from lamentation. I tell you this truth.
