Śalya said: "This powerful (Arjuna), having been challenged by the Saṃśaptakas, has gone to face them and is indeed causing great destruction to these enemies in battle." To the king of Madra (Śalya), who was speaking thus, Karṇa, filled with excessive anger, replied.
