महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-31, verse-46

ध्रुवमेषु निमित्तेषु भूमिमावृत्य पार्थिवाः ।
स्वप्स्यन्ति निहताः कर्ण शतशोऽथ सहस्रशः ॥४६॥
46. dhruvameṣu nimitteṣu bhūmimāvṛtya pārthivāḥ ,
svapsyanti nihatāḥ karṇa śataśo'tha sahasraśaḥ.

svapsyanti nihatāḥ karṇa śataśaḥ atha sahasraśaḥ
46. karṇa dhruvam eṣu nimitteṣu bhūmim āvṛtya pārthivāḥ
nihatāḥ śataśaḥ atha sahasraśaḥ svapsyanti
46. O Karna, these omens surely indicate that kings, filling the earth, will lie dead, slain by hundreds and thousands.
