महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-31, verse-53

अद्य द्रष्टासि तं वीरं श्वेताश्वं कृष्णसारथिम् ।
निघ्नन्तं शात्रवान्संख्ये यं कर्ण परिपृच्छसि ॥५३॥
53. adya draṣṭāsi taṁ vīraṁ śvetāśvaṁ kṛṣṇasārathim ,
nighnantaṁ śātravānsaṁkhye yaṁ karṇa paripṛcchasi.

nighnantam śātravān saṅkhye yam karṇa paripṛcchasi
53. karṇa,
adya tvam yam paripṛcchasi,
tam śvetāśvam kṛṣṇasārathim vīram saṅkhye śātravān nighnantam draṣṭā asi
53. Today, Karna, you will see that hero (vīra) with white horses and Kṛṣṇa as his charioteer, slaying enemies (śātravān) in battle (saṅkhye) – the very one about whom you inquire.
