शैनेयाभ्यवपत्तिं ते जानाम्याचार्यघातिनः ।
न त्वेनं त्रास्यसि मया ग्रस्तमात्मानमेव च ॥४८॥

48. śaineyābhyavapattiṁ te jānāmyācāryaghātinaḥ ,
na tvenaṁ trāsyasi mayā grastamātmānameva ca.

48. (Ashwatthama to Satyaki): "I know of your attack, O descendant of Śini, you who are the killer of the teacher (ācārya). But you will not protect him, nor indeed will you protect yourself (ātman), for you are seized by me."
