महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-171, verse-43

व्यश्वसूतरथं चैनं द्रौणिश्चक्रे महाहवे ।
तस्य चानुचरान्सर्वान्क्रुद्धः प्राच्छादयच्छरैः ॥४३॥
43. vyaśvasūtarathaṁ cainaṁ drauṇiścakre mahāhave ,
tasya cānucarānsarvānkruddhaḥ prācchādayaccharaiḥ.
43. vyaśvasūtaratham ca enam drauṇiḥ cakre mahāhave
tasya ca anucarān sarvān kruddhaḥ prācchādayat śaraiḥ
43. mahāhave drauṇiḥ enam vyaśvasūtaratham cakre ca
kruddhaḥ tasya sarvān anucarān śaraiḥ prācchādayat
43. And in that great battle, Droṇa's son (Aśvatthāmā) rendered him (the Pañcāla king) bereft of his horses, charioteer, and chariot. Further, enraged, he overwhelmed all his attendants with showers of arrows.
