एष चास्त्रप्रतीघातं वासुदेवः प्रयुक्तवान् ।
अन्यथा विहितः संख्ये वधः शत्रोर्जनाधिप ॥२८॥

28. eṣa cāstrapratīghātaṁ vāsudevaḥ prayuktavān ,
anyathā vihitaḥ saṁkhye vadhaḥ śatrorjanādhipa.

28. And this Vasudeva (Kṛṣṇa) has applied a counter-measure against the weapon. Otherwise, O ruler of men, the slaying of the enemy would have already been accomplished in battle.
