46.
Indeed, the grandfather, Gāṅgeya (Bhīṣma), was born from Śantanu, O Bhārata. He was like a royal sage (brahmarṣi) and was difficult for even the gods to overcome. For he was told by his pleased father, 'You will not die against your will.'
