महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-297, verse-44

यक्ष उवाच ।
किं स्वित्प्रवसतो मित्रं किं स्विन्मित्रं गृहे सतः ।
आतुरस्य च किं मित्रं किं स्विन्मित्रं मरिष्यतः ॥४४॥
44. yakṣa uvāca ,
kiṁ svitpravasato mitraṁ kiṁ svinmitraṁ gṛhe sataḥ ,
āturasya ca kiṁ mitraṁ kiṁ svinmitraṁ mariṣyataḥ.
44. yakṣaḥ uvāca kim svit pravasataḥ mitram kim svit mitram gṛhe
sataḥ āturasya ca kim mitram kim svit mitram mariṣyataḥ
44. The Yaksha said, "What indeed is a friend to one who travels abroad? What is a friend to one who remains at home? And what is a friend to a sick person? What indeed is a friend to one who is about to die?"
