महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-297, verse-18

यक्ष उवाच ।
यक्षोऽहमस्मि भद्रं ते नास्मि पक्षी जलेचरः ।
मयैते निहताः सर्वे भ्रातरस्ते महौजसः ॥१८॥
18. yakṣa uvāca ,
yakṣo'hamasmi bhadraṁ te nāsmi pakṣī jalecaraḥ ,
mayaite nihatāḥ sarve bhrātaraste mahaujasaḥ.
18. yakṣaḥ uvāca yakṣaḥ aham asmi bhadram te na asmi pakṣī
jalecaraḥ mayā ete nihatāḥ sarve bhrātaraḥ te mahaujasaḥ
18. The Yaksha said: 'I am a Yaksha. May all be well with you. I am not a water-dwelling bird. All these brothers of yours, who possessed great power, were killed by me.'
