महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-11, verse-70

एतत्संचिन्त्य राजेन्द्र यत्क्षमं तत्समाचर ।
अप्रमत्तोत्थितो नित्यं चातुर्वर्ण्यस्य रक्षणे ।
भव एधस्व मोदस्व दानैस्तर्पय च द्विजान् ॥७०॥
70. etatsaṁcintya rājendra yatkṣamaṁ tatsamācara ,
apramattotthito nityaṁ cāturvarṇyasya rakṣaṇe ,
bhava edhasva modasva dānaistarpaya ca dvijān.
70. etat saṃcintya rājendra yat kṣamam
tat samācara apramattaḥ utthitaḥ nityaṃ
cāturvarṇyasya rakṣaṇe bhava edhasva
modasva dānaiḥ tarpaya ca dvijān
70. O great king, having thoroughly considered this, always act in a manner that is appropriate by being vigilant and active in the protection of the four social classes. Prosper, rejoice, and satisfy the twice-born (dvija) with gifts.
