महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-11, verse-58

अतर्पयच्च विविधैर्वसुभिर्ब्राह्मणांस्तथा ।
प्रासर्पकाले संप्राप्ते नानादिग्भ्यः समागतान् ॥५८॥
58. atarpayacca vividhairvasubhirbrāhmaṇāṁstathā ,
prāsarpakāle saṁprāpte nānādigbhyaḥ samāgatān.
58. atarpayat ca vividhaiḥ vasubhiḥ brāhmaṇān tathā
prāsarpa-kāle saṃprāpte nānā-digbhyaḥ samāgatān
58. And he satisfied the Brahmins, who had arrived from various directions, with diverse riches at the appointed time.
